Six years after her master’s degree, our founder went back to her university: BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg. She was invited there to hold a keynote at the STARTPARADE by Startup Revier EAST.
The city of Cottbus and its surrounding region is strongly affected by structural change. This makes it all the more important to awaken the entrepreneurial spirit locally. Only through innovation and creative thinkers can the region’s economic transformation succeed.
“It was amazing to see how the university, politics and companies are working together to create a new, innovative environment”, says Maria about this experience. In her keynote, she talked about the importance of courage, exchange and cooperation to bring about change.
Successful structural change can only succeed if not only existing large companies are encouraged to settle in the region, but also local innovators are actively supported. For us, it was a great experience to encourage potential entrepreneurs on campus and to awaken their entrepreneurial spirit.
